SIMER 6 / SIMER 6S utility pumps

Further to our earlier blog announcing the new utility pump SIMER 6 / SIMER 6S, the net prices of the current version SIMER 5 remain valid for the new model SIMER 6.

This new version is expected to be officially launched on 1 May 2024 and will be available in two versions (with and without integrated level control).

You can find more detailed product information in the enclosed Simer 6 Product Details.

All orders for SIMER 5 that have already been confirmed will still be delivered. New and not yet confirmed orders for the SIMER 5 will be transferred to the SIMER 6. The corresponding delivery confirmations will be sent to you shortly.

2024 – One Century Of Jung Pumpen

This year Pentair Jung Pumpen reaches a significant milestone – the 100th anniversary of their company.

Other milestones along the way include

  • The company started with 10 employees, now this has reached 366
  • Since its foundation in 1924, the company has developed from a small craft business in Steinhagen into a leading international supplier of wastewater technology for building and drainage.
  • In the 1960s, Jung Pumpen achieved a technical milestone with the introduction of the first submersible pump U33
  • Jung Pumpen gained an excellent reputation in the irrigation sector in the early 1970s. The “Juga 75” irritgation pump became a hit and is still in use in many gardens and green spaces today.
  • The 1980s saw the introduction of pressure drainage, a technology that uses domestic pumping stations to dispose of wastewater via pressurised pipe networks.
  • In the 1990s, the company set up its own poly plant, where it has been producing its own pump sumps and tanks.
  • Also in the 1990s, Jung Pumpen further expanded its presence in Europe, extended its product portfolio and significantly increased its international activities.
  • With the takeover of the company by the American water technology company Pentair in 2007, this development was further advanced worldwide.

In preparation for this 100th anniversary, which will be officially on 1st of September 2024, they would like to give customers the chance to give a statement about why they are satisified with the Jung Pumpen brand, capturing your experiences sharing your thoughts, and even perhaps thoughts for the future.

Here at Pump Technology we do think of Jung Pumpen as the ‘benchmark brand’ and so we will of course be providing a statement sharing our 30+ years partnership with the company.

New Jung Pumpen Data Book

As a company that likes to provide a good level of service, if you ask us for something then we like to deliver!

We’ve been asked on a few occasions to get a databook together of all the datasheets for the Jung Pumpen range of products. We do provide these online (just go to your product of choice for technical datasheets, 3d models and 3dBims) which means that you can always access accurate data wherever you are but every now and then its nice to have a manual that you can keep on your desk which has everything in it.

We are a company that is observant of our carbon footprint and the amount of paper we use, so these aren’t something we are going to send to everyone. However, if you would like one sent to you please get in touch with David by emailing davidj@pumptechnology.co.uk and he will post one to you.

Once in receipt of the folder we will aim to keep it updated by sending out quarterly updates so that you always have the most up-to-date information.

As you know our ‘powered by Jung’ DrainMajor Waste Water Pump Systems is manufactured from recyclable Polyethylene.

How we are helping the environment

We have teamed up with the Rainforest Trust and for the next 1,000 units of DrainMajors and DrainMinors, we will donate £5.00 for every DrainMajor/DrainMinor pumping system specified.

Every penny donated will go to projects preserving rainforests and other tropical habitats.

Tanks manufactured from Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) are almost impossible to recyclable and is difficult to dispose of but our Polyethylene tanks are easy to recycle as another tank, broom handles, children toys and many other products.

For Public Health Engineers wanting to specify an environmentally friendly solution, the DrainMajor / DrainMinor wastewater pumping system is the ideal choice.

Multistream Sewage Pumps

For decades, our MultiStream waste water pumps have shown their strength in pumping various types of waste water in municipal and industrial pumping stations as well as rainwater overflow basins or in catastrophe protection.

Especially for large waste water volumes and delivery heads, the sewage impeller pump is unbeatable in terms of efficiency, durability and safety.

In the MultiStream models listed here (motor power P1 <4kW), the type of impeller fastening has been improved: a feather key fixes the impeller to the rotor shaft so that it cannot twist, and a newly developed adjustment element allows the axial gap, which has become too large due to wear, to be easily and precisely adjusted on site. This keeps the pump clog-free and delivers a consistently high level of efficiency.

A standard hard coating on the impeller protects the material from increased abrasion. Optionally, the abrasion protection can be reinforced by a ceramic coating to protect the impeller from particularly abrasive components in the pumped medium.

David Johnson joins SoPHE IWG Committee

Pump Technology Ltd. has proudly announced that David Johnson, their Marketing & Business Development Manager, has recently joined the prestigious committee of the Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering’s (SoPHE) Industrial Working Group (IWG). This appointment is a testament to David’s expertise and reputation in the industry.

Introducing the new Easyfix 32 Single and Easyfix 32 Duo

INSTALLATION SETS FOR DRAINAGE PUMPS

With these plug-and-play solutions we offer you for the first time the sets Easyfix 32 Single and Easyfix 32 Duo sets, which allow you to install drainage pumps with the GR 32 guide rail system as a single or duplex system. The concept of these systems is based on the fact that you save time, space and money! The sets are ready-to-plug in and all necessary components are pre-assembled on a base plate! The Easyfix only needs to be placed in the chamber and connected to the pressure line.

The Easyfix 32 Duo includes a control unit for operating two sewage pumps. The control unit regulates the alternating operation of the two pumps and also ensures alarm messages and peak load operation. The pumps are switched via their fitted float switches.

The Easyfix sets can be connected to the following pumps:

  • U3 KS
  • U3 KS spezial
  • U5 KS
  • U6 ES

The pumps are not included in the scope of supply. Use of the float switch (pumps accessory) for low switching points is also possible. Use of the special float for low switching points (pumps accessory) is also possible.
