Jung Pumpen MultiDrain UV 300 & UV 600 – Redesigned for Greater Reliability

The proven Jung Pumpen MultiDrain UV 300 and UV 600 submersible drainage pump ranges have been redesigned, bringing improved corrosion resistance, reduced weight and easier maintenance – while retaining the performance that makes them ideal for demanding drainage applications.

From 1 September 2026, the redesigned MultiDrain range will be available from Pump Technology with new part numbers.

At Pump Technology, the MultiDrain range is an important part of our Jung Pumpen portfolio, particularly where water needs to be reliably pumped from greater depths or where higher delivery heads are required.

Built for demanding drainage applications

Manufactured in stainless steel, the Jung Pumpen MultiDrain UV 300 and UV 600 pumps are designed for handling dirty water, rainwater, groundwater and drainage water.

Typical applications include:

  • Underground car parks
  • Building shafts
  • Construction pits
  • Drainage installations requiring high delivery heads

These are pumps designed for applications where dependable drainage isn't optional.

What’s changed?

The biggest engineering development is a redesigned bearing chamber, now manufactured using corrosion-resistant materials.

As well as improving corrosion resistance, the redesign has reduced the overall pump weight by approximately 3kg, making handling and installation easier.

The handle has also been redesigned so that, should it become damaged, it can now be replaced separately as a spare part rather than requiring more extensive replacement work.

The improvements at a glance

  • Improved corrosion resistance. A new bearing chamber manufactured from corrosion-resistant materials helps provide increased durability in demanding environments.
  • Approximately 3kg lighter Reduced pump weight makes transportation, handling and installation easier.
  • Replaceable handle The handle can now be purchased and replaced independently if damaged.

Proven MultiDrain performance remains

Importantly, the redesign doesn't change the characteristics that have made MultiDrain such a dependable choice.

The pumps remain suitable for continuous S1 operation, even at low water levels, thanks to motor jacket cooling. The proven flow rates and areas of application are also retained.

MultiDrain UV 300 or UV 600?

The two ranges are designed to suit different installation requirements.

The MultiDrain UV 300 features a vertical pressure outlet, making it particularly well suited to mobile applications and narrow shafts, where available installation space can be limited.

The MultiDrain UV 600 offers a horizontal or vertical pressure outlet and is designed for stationary installations and applications requiring high delivery heads.

That flexibility means Pump Technology can help specify the right MultiDrain solution according to the installation, required head and operating conditions rather than simply selecting a pump based on capacity alone.

The Jung Pumpen U5 Is Getting Even Better

An upgraded Jung Pumpen U5 drainage pump is arriving from September 2026 – combining everything installers know and trust about the U5 with new features designed to improve convenience, efficiency and operational reliability.

At Pump Technology, we’ve worked with Jung Pumpen products for many years, and the U5 has long been one of the dependable workhorses within the drainage pump range.

From 1 September 2026, Jung Pumpen is introducing an updated U5 K and U5 KS, retaining the proven characteristics of the existing pump while adding several useful improvements.

What’s new on the Jung Pumpen U5?

The updated U5 features:

  • Lockable flushing device
  • New ergonomic handle
  • Fluid temperature capability of 35°C, with temporary operation at temperatures of up to 60°C for 10 minutes

These improvements add to an already versatile drainage pump designed for both fixed and mobile applications.

One pump, plenty of applications

For permanent installations, the U5 K and U5 KS can be installed in sumps and lifting stations and used for wastewater from domestic appliances including washing machines, dishwashers and sinks. In stationary applications, the installation can also provide backflow protection for the building.

For mobile use, it’s equally at home dealing with water from flooded basements, garden ponds, laundry rooms and drainage pits.

And when you want to get as much water out as possible, the removable strainer allows shallow suction down to a residual water level of approximately 5mm.

Built for reliable everyday operation

The new U5 continues to offer some of the features that have made the range such a useful option for installers and building operators:

Continuous S1 operation is possible thanks to motor jacket cooling, while GID technology helps provide high operational reliability. The pump offers 10/20mm free passage and is available with or without automatic switching and with either a 4m or 10m cable.

And, of course, it continues to be Made in Germany, maintaining the build quality and durability associated with Jung Pumpen.

Easier installation and maintenance

The U5 can also be combined with Jung Pumpen guide rail systems to make future pump removal and maintenance quicker and easier.

For a straightforward installation, the Easyfix 32 installation sets are supplied pre-assembled and ready to connect, with options for both single and duplex installations.

The Jung Pumpen Floodbox will also feature the new U5 going forward.

Hands-On Training Day Delivers Practical Skills and Stronger Industry Partnerships

Pump Technology Services, alongside Pump Technology and Jung Pumpen, welcomed customers to a successful specialist training day at Newbury Racecourse, combining expert technical knowledge with practical, hands-on experience in servicing and maintaining Jung Pumpen equipment.

The training event was designed to help engineers build real-world confidence through interactive workshops, practical demonstrations and open discussion.

Held in glorious summer sunshine, the day brought together engineers and industry professionals from across the UK for an engaging programme of classroom learning and practical demonstrations. After a warm welcome over coffee and breakfast, attendees spent the morning working closely with the Pump Technology Services and Jung Pumpen teams, gaining valuable insight into the latest products, installation techniques and maintenance best practice.

The afternoon session focused on practical servicing scenarios, allowing delegates to get hands-on with the equipment while learning directly from experienced specialists. With plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and discuss real-life applications, the workshop created an open and collaborative learning environment.

Daryl Hall, Service Manager at Pump Technology Services, said:

Giving engineers the opportunity to work directly with the products, ask questions and learn from experienced trainers helps build confidence that they can take back to site. Once the day’s training had concluded, guests enjoyed an evening at Newbury Racecourse, rounding off a productive day of learning with horse racing and the Ibiza Beach Club Party.

Into the Jungle… or So It Seemed!

You might think from the photos that our latest adventure took us deep into the Amazon – but in reality, it was the 2nd SoPHE South West event, held at the stylish Ritorno Lounge in Bristol.

Far from the jungle, the Ritorno Lounge (named after the Italian word for return) was the perfect backdrop for an evening of connection, collaboration and knowledge sharing in the Public Health sector.

The event brought together engineers, sponsors, and industry peers to share ideas, strengthen relationships and spark conversations that will continue to benefit projects across the region. It was fantastic to see such energy and engagement – proof that this event is fast becoming a highlight of the SoPHE calendar.

Of course, it wasn’t all business! A big thank you goes to the caricaturist for capturing some memorable sketches, and to Bristol Photo Booths for the jungle-themed photo fun – the perfect icebreaker and keepsake from the night.
